Thom’s favorite new hat. Horse back or out on the water, our El Capitan Hat keeps you shaded from the elements.

Featuring a 4” pinch front telescope crown and a 4” brim with a slight forward pencil roll on the sides. Designed with a slight turn down in the front and back for a little extra sun protection. Shown with our crossover saddle string band. For a perfect fit, see our head measurement page.

All of our hats are handmade from Guatemalan palm leaves and are incredibly durable, providing excellent protection from both sun and rain. We shape each hat to order. They make a great travel hat and are easily reshaped if accidentally crushed, using only water.

Please specify your choice of either a latigo leather band or grosgrain ribbon. Each hat is custom shaped to order. See our hat shaping guide page for instructions on how to measure your head. Please allow 3-5 days for shaping and curing, before shipping.
